Depending on how far you got in - and why you weren't enjoying it - it
could be worth giving them another try
The first couple of books were fairly rough compared to the later ones
I have been enjoying Seanan's Incryptid series for years. In
the Incryptid series all the various mythical creatures (monsters)
of the many societies on Earth are real and living secretly
mong us. The stories involve the Price family who are out to
protect normal people from the monsters, and protect the
monsters from people, as long as they don't go around eating us.

I kind of got diminishing enjoyment syndrome on Toby Day. When McGuire
brought back Toby's daughter yet again, I checked out for now.

Sadly, my diminishment hit hard with either book 2 or 3, which is a bummer since she's so prolific.

I've been tempted to try the Incryptid series, but ....

I recommend that you go ahead and try it. It is a pretty good
series. Not all of them are good, I have never made it through
the first 2 Antimony Price books, but the third 'Magic for
Nothing' is quite good.

I beg your pardon, that should have been 'That Ain't Witchcraft'.
I couldn't get through 'Magic for Nothing'.
