Once again again readers and typers I share something besides a political rant with y'all,
"Chicano Frankenstein" is a novel, not very long. by
Daniel A. Olivas.
Its main character is a man who suffered fatal injuries
and had to have body parts replaced and these people are called "stitchers". Secondary character is his girlfriend who is
somewhat normal but a successful woman lawyer and he is a paralegal
whom she met at a conference. The reanimated have been told they
must take a pill everyday to continue in good health.
In the meantime President(a woman) Cadwaller is trying to outlaw
the reanimation procedures and succeeds.
When people are reanimated their personal memories are deleted
and they are left with language and skills. At the end much is revealed by one of the doctors who took part in the reanimation of
this individual.
Hey happier ending than any of the Shelly-inspired
variants.
