"Vampire Weekend" by Mike Chen Vampirism is a viral disease, the alleged powers of the vampire are mostly myth and life is a hustle to get enough blood to survive. At least that is the way it is for Louise Chao. She was an aspiring musician whose parents gave her good cause to leave their domicile. Being a vampire puts a crimp in her musical career. She is distrustful of other vampires and of a fellow named Eric is trying to organize the Vampires of LA (and the rest of the world). Then her family looking for the mother's sister who was kicked to the curb due to her l esbianism but who had no problems with another musician vampire or not. Not a long book but a good read. Chen has about 4 other books out. This was published by Mira apparently but they give bookclubish.com as a web contact. $28.99 but I got my copy at the SFPL-Main. bliss -- b l i s s dash s f 4 e v e r at d s l e x t r e m e dot c o m
