(I'm not sure why I bothered saying "OT" when so many other comic strips
get mentioned here!)

You can enlarge it.
It's actually easier to read when not enlarged. Apparently, it isn't
the sort of image that enlarges well.

That's always a problem with the Doonesbury comics and especially so
with the Sundays. At normal size the type is often too small for me,
even on my 17" screen, and when blown up it just becomes a smudge.
There's a small sweet spot for me where I can just read it.
When you click the ... on the right-hand side of the panels it offers
to display this transcript:
                                 Transcript:
B.D: To dreeam the American dream... to punt when your arms
are too weeary... Dum de dum! Bernie: There seems to be a
certain spring to your gait this morning, B.D. B.D: Yeah, I
feel good, Bernie. I don't know why. Could be the start of
the new football season, or it could be the new mood of the
country! Bernie: There's another mood afoot? B.D: Where you
been, Bernardo? Haven't you noticed? People don't feel bad
anymore. They've stopped feeling guilty. Hard to believe it
was only a year ago that Carter was harping on malaises,
limits, all that negative stuff! Bernie: You don't think
there are limits to our national resources, B.D? B.D: Hell,
no! This is the greatest can-do country in the world,
Bernie! All that emphasis on restraint and conservation was
sapping our strength! That's the Reagan genius, Bernie -
Ronnie understands that sacrifices can be depressing. That's
why he's giving us low inflation, a strong defense, big tax
cuts and a balanced budget all at the same time! No one
stuffers but the poor, and they're used to it! It's almost
like a dream, you know? Bernie: Almost exactly.
Carter was the last fiscally honest President. He was a Christian who
counseled Americans to live within their means.
Reagan practiced the "deficits don't matter" debtors' creed.
Americans had to "keep up with the Joneses."

Thank you! I normally just read my comics in my email and that is not there of course. Even when I've went to the page, although I've had a Go Comics account for gnu knows how long, I have never clicked the ... because I've had no need for other sharing options.
