I generally enjoy Lafferty's work, but I've only read her SF. I'm not a
big reader of urban fantasy, but sometimes will especially for humorous
works. For instance, I have read the Dan Shamble, Zombie PI series by
Kevin J. Anderson. I've thought about this one.

This is the first of a series.
If I am not clear this is a very amusing book and I hope
Mur has more in store.

There is one sequel, from about 10 years ago, so I doubt any more are
coming. If you enjoy her writing, you might consider the Chaos Terminal
books. Those are, as I mentioned, SF.

It would make a great manga or anime. I got my copy at the SFPL
Main but it is $15.00 US or $17.00 Canadian.

They have the ebook at the library, so I'd get that. Much of my reading
comes that way these days.
My mind never made the connection between Shambling and Dan Shamble
until your followup appeared. In retrospect, the association makes
sense, if shambling's sort of a micro-genre.
A couple of Dan Shamble stories were read by me back in the day.
They are indeed hilarious. These days EPUB stories are heard by me after
conversion to an MP3: <https://crcomp.net/epubtomp3/index.php>
There's a typo in Bobbie's link. The first chapter of the Lafferty is
available at:

I posted no link!
