So here I am again., I finally read it. I liked it. Space opera-ish,

Well, I was trying not to give away any of the plot.
Possible spoilers follow:
The galaxy is dominated by corporations. Corporations will do absolutely anything to get one up on other corporations or to prevent corporations from getting one up on them.
Little evidence of successful civilizations exists, all seem to have destroyed themselves. A 100 meter in diameter silver sphere is discovered on a planet being mapped. Skulduggery ensues.
