So far the only books of his I have read are in the "Magic 2.0" series
(and I think I'm a couple of books behind). It turns out that the world
is a computer simulation (apparently -- one of the main characters has
big problems with that), and when people notice that they tend to go
back in time and live as wizards. Which is ridiculous you will say, but
then maybe the simulation is programmed to make that look like a good idea..
Not really a lot of similiarity with BI, but the two leads do have
sort of a Rick & Scott dynamic. I have found them generally good,
entertaining reading though perhaps the Atlantis one was a bit
weaker. I think perhaps Harold Shea is a good touchpoint.
