As far as I can tell, it's a bit over 5%, but may reach 10% by about
2050 if immigration stays at roughly the current level, which is mostly
driven by war.

This isn't the most recent article, but it has a nice graph:

I read an article recently that claimed UK is at 10% and France is at
20% so wiki may be understating the numbers.>

But you don't provide a citation? Why is that?
France's Muslim population is estimated to be around 9 million, making
...
So-called artificial intelligence doesn't have
citations; I'm told that it has "prompts".
You tell it what you want it to say, and it does.
If it's conceivably factual in this case, it
may not mean what a readers think by "foreign
origin". Let me guess: Black. One drop, after
all. So what, White people all are descended
from Neanderthals. By a drop or two, at least.
In _Private Eye_ No. 1651 (13th June), page 7,
I read:
[_The Telegraph_] "continues to quietly erase
embarrassments.
"When the first version of 3 June's scoop,
'White British people will be a minority in
40 years, report claims', went online at 9.04am,
it cited research that by 2100 'the white British
share of the population - defined as people who
do not have an immigrant parent - could have
fallen to around a third'.
"After social-media users pointed out that by
this definition neither Winston Churchill nor
the king count as White British, the explanatory
clause was silently excised."
That means that the noble organ of conservatism
kept the story up, but they deleted the part
which says "defined as" which unintentionally
exposed the story as scare-mongering.
It's in the latter part of an _Eye_ piece
mainly about a Telly story of a family,
Al and Alexandra, Ali, Harry, and Barry,
suffering under the new tax on school fees -
the headline declares, "We earn 345k, but
soaring private school fees mean we can't go
on five holidays" - reproduced without
critical thought from "a case study who had
provided false information" - I'd say satire.
"No whisper of all this appeared on the paper's
corrections page."
Of course I myself haven't checked any of that
either.
