I've been (work) busy for days, which is why I haven't posted to RAT much this weekend. I'm giving two of my three final exams today, which means I'll be grading for the next few days, but hopefully won't be busy cover-to-cover anymore... We'll see.
Anyway, I haven't watched much over the past 2 or 3 days:
soaps: DOOL - Wed to Fri's ep's. Philip's scheme to steal the drug for Bo goes awry (aside: Philip's nerdy friend does seem familiar - like the same actor was on the show as a teen years ago...). When Xander finds out, he threatens to kill Philip. Meh. 'Cos we know he won't... Alex wants to publish Stephanie's trashy manuscript... then they have sex. (Quelle surprise!) They claim to Marlena that they've found John (off-screen) - then Susan Banks has a dark premonition. [roll]
GH - Thur's & Fri's ep's. Three main thrusts here. One: Carly and Willow prepare for the coming custody hearing - Sonny is appalled when he hears about Carly's scheme gone awry, and he goes to Willow to try to negotiate a deal. Two: Curtis has figured out that Drew is blackmailing Portia - first he tells Nina (who secretly already knows!) about it, then goes to confront Drew, while Ava pleads with Portia to come clean before it's too late. (Can't wait for Portia's life to fall apart soon!) Three: Lulu lets Cody in on her "Gio is Brook Lynn's son (and Brook Lynn knows it [she doesn't!!])" theory, and then they both try to prove it... Oh, and Alexis (and, separately, Lucky) try to track down the wreckage of Ric's totalled car, but Ava and Ric are seven steps ahead of them!
golf - Anticlimactic. Jonathan Vegas led after Day 2 of the US Open, but Scottie Scheffler took over the lead on Day 3, and never looked back. Scheffler led the entire way (most of the time, by a lot!) on the final day - even upon bogeying the final hole, Scheffler still won by 5 strokes!
Anyone else who tried to challenge seemed to quickly fall apart - the LIV tour guys really don't seem to be competitive anymore!
This is Scheffler's third major win. He really has been dominating golf the last 2 or 3 years.
And that was pretty much all I've been able to watch.
What did you watch?
