Shipwrecked on a forested island, a robot learns to talk to the animals.   Although Dreamworks's THE WILD ROBOT, on Netflix, was well- received by critics and audiences, it didn't quite rise above my cloy threshold. (It's no IRON GIANT.)  However, it's been a while since I've watched state-of-the-art animation, and I was transfixed. Recommended.
It was okay, but not great. The storyline was simply too 'blah' to be particularly interesting.
Being based on a kids' book probably allowed little story leeway.
