Did a rewatch of SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO which was a revisit to
the same team we saw in the previous movie. This time the starter
event was a terrorist bombing in Kansas that appears to have been done
by people that crossed the Mexico border and been at least partially
funded by a Mexican cartel. This leads the US to decide to start a war
between the cartels by doing various things. There's a number of
events that occur in the movie that shows how you can never trust the
government to have your back. Good movie and well worth watching, but
don't go in expecting lots of action. There is some but it's more a
mood movie with some great mood setting music.
Yeah, this flick is mostly good. I just don't like the ending much.
Which part of the ending. The final bit where the two meet up to set
up the kid's future? Or the way they treat the main guy?
The way they retconned one character, who should be dead, still being
alive (IIRC...).
Ah, but if they killed that character off how would there be a third
film.
They don't him for another film. They really only need Brolin (the
girlfriend beater, that everybody seems to have conveniently forgotten
Wife beater. In fact, it was Diane Lane. The scumbag should’ve never seen
daylight again.
