Alexander (blu-ray) 2004 historical epic movie written and directed by
Oliver Stone starring Colin Farrell as Alexander the Great.  The movie
jumps around in time chronicling Alexander's conquest of the then known
world as well as following his various love affairs.  This was the
"Revisited: The Final Cut" which put back in every last frame of film
and the kitchen sink pushing the run time to just under 4 hours.

4 hours, yikes! I have the DVD and according to my database it's 175
min. (easily enough to get me antsy).
>
Sheesh, that's a long time to dedicate to one movie.

That's how long the "Snyder cut" of "Justice League" was, and I think
most of us around her sat through that.
Sure, but that's a movie I WANTED to see. ;)
Not so sure about ALEXANDER as I've never had it on any of my 'need to
see' lists.

This was a movie I definitely wanted to watch.  I had been looking forward to revisiting it, but I forgot how long it was.  Even though I knew I liked it, I didn't remember it very well, and the reviews I read were all negative so I went in expecting the worse.  One very pleasant surprise was Rosario Dawson popping up.  Wow, not that I forgot how beautiful she is, but in this movie she took it to a whole other level.

It's also probably as long as some of the "extended cuts" of some of
"The Lord of the Rings" flicks are (though I haven't gotten to these
yet...).
Yeah, those are still on my list.

Watch them!!!

Gladiator (4K disc)  2000 historical epic movie directed by Ridley
Scott and starring Russell Crowe as the general who became a slave, the
slave who became a gladiator, and the gladiator who defied an empire.
Joaquin Phoenix costars as the emperor who became vexed.  The movie
holds up great.

Yes it does, I have the DVD. Incidentally I heard scholarly types
spotted at least one serious blooper in the new Gladiator II that's
coming out -- a Roman general is shown reading a newspaper 1,200 years
before the invention of the printing press. lol.

A good movie that I haven't re-watched in years.

I saw a good chunk of it within the last 2-3 months on... HBO? Showtime?

As for myself I got in a few things over the past few days.

I also watched TRACKER

Oh, you poor thing!...  ;p
Hey, I like the show. It's not great writing but it's something to
watch that isn't too terrible. Though it's clear they are trying to
save money as the gay couple is now just the one older woman who
appears to be partnering up with Reenie. And the mother they
introduced as only shown up once. Oh, and this episode made it clear
it was filmed in Canada when Steve Bacic showed up as one of the bad
guys.

I also started a movie, GEOSTORM, but didn't get very far.
>
"Geostorm" is ridiculous, but still kind of fun. Whereas "Moonfall" is
ridiculous, and not really fun.

I wonder if it would have mattered if they swapped out Patrick Wilson for Gerard Butler.  Butler knows how to sale the ridiculousness in his movies.

Oh, there's no doubt about it being completely ridiculous in concept
and in how people are reacting. If the station had a blowout like they
showed people would be freaking out. Then you have that robotic arm
trying to kill the team and yet no one seems to think anything of it
but the team. I would expect any number of people would be heading
back to Earth to get away from what should be looking like a death
trap.
