Sorry this is late today - it's a combination of the switch to Daylight Savings Time and me deciding to run errands this morning (to beat the crowd, thanks to DST!!).

I didn't realize today was DST.  I was wondering why I slept in so late.   I miss the old days when you had to manually adjust all the clocks. At least then you knew it was daylight savings.  Now it just sort of happens automatically without warning.

Yesterday, I largely played a video game and did some chores, but I also got through soaps, and a couple of Lifetime flicks I had recorded earlier:
soaps: Y&R - Tue's and Wed's ep's. Largely concerned Sharon and Filis[sic!] being held captive together and bickering, while Nick, Summer and Daniel, and Billy, try to figure out what happened to Sharon and Filis... Meanwhile, Victor and Adam tip their hands when they reveal that they know Billy is launching a new company - I wonder if Jack will now figure out that Victor has planted moles in Chabot?
GH - Fri's ep. This ep was mostly disappointing, except for the scenes with Lulu and Brook Lynn - NuNuLulu confronts Brook Lynn about not telling Dante for two decades that they had a child together, revealing to Brook Lynn for the first time that it was a son: Amanda Setton was good in these scenes (it feels like she's rarely called on to really "act" on this show!); at the end, Lulu tells Brook Lynn to tell Dante, or she will... The semi-good parts were Josslyn being trained in the ways of being a "spy" (or an "assassin"?!!) by a handler... The rest of this was Sonny, or Alexis, or Carly and NuJack Brennan drama that I don't really care about - though on the Alexis front, it feels like Jenz Sidwell is setting up to frame Alexis for some crime (maybe, murder?!!).
golf - Only saw a few minutes of the Arnold Palmer. I will probably watch it more closely today, on the final day.
Then I watched a couple of Lifetime flicks I had recorded:
Date at Your Own Risk (recorded in mid-Feb) - I really didn't care for this flick at all. It went exactly where you expected it to, with its feints and red herrings being totally unconvincing. I wasn't even giving it my full attention, and I was still easily able to follow along.
The Perfect Killer (recorded on March 1) - I liked this one a lot better. It had a literal(!) cast of thousands as suspects, and largely kept me guessing until near the end.
I did think they could have "gone for it" more with this one - I was really hoping the stepmom (JaNae Armogan) was in on it, but it's very rare for a Lifetime flick to "go there", so it's not like I was expecting it.
In this one, a married couple apparently get a frantic call from the husband's daughter (Laura Provensano, who just did her first Lifetime flick a few months ago, and has already knocked out this one and a third Lifetime flick coming up since then!). But it's a fake "AI" call, to lure the father to a location where he is clearly premeditatively murdered.
Coincidentally(?), at about this same time, the girl's estranged mother (recent Lifetime staple Kirsten Comerford), who had lost all visitation rights a decade before, shows up as its the girl's 16th birthday and she can now legally contact the daughter.
So, who killed the dad?! - Did the estranged mom kill the dad for preventing her from seeing the daughter for a decade? Did the stepmom do it? Perhaps it was the father's business partner? Or was it someone else, as plenty have motive when the secrets start tumbling out!!
Like I said, this was a pretty good thriller/mystery, as it least it took a while to figure out who the killer was.
It was at this time that I realized that I had earlier failed to record Lifetime's "Lethal Desire" last month, and it's not airing any time soon, nor is it on OnDemand! Luckily, I can still watch it off the Lifetime website, so I will probably do that today.
  What did you watch?

I watched:
9-1-1 - "Sob Stories" - Season 8, episode 9.  During this episode a man calls 9-1-1 threatening to kill himself, and the operator tells him to go ahead to do it.  The man worries that maybe if he does kill himself, he won't get into heaven, but the operator assures him that an exception will be made and he'll still get into heaven.  I have the feeling this episode was written by someone going through some serious relationship issues and this is their way of venting.
The Hateful Eight (blu-ray) 2015 movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.  This was his 8th film.  The movie stars a cast of Tarantino regulars including Sam L. Jackson as a veteran of the Civil War. Jackson's character runs into an old bounty hunter friend played by Kurt Russell, and Russel is transporting a criminal (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to be executed.  But thanks to a snow storm they are all forced to hold over at a store with several others (including Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, and Walton Goggins).  But someone isn't who they appear to be and sudden there's a murder that needs to be solved.  But this is a Tarantino movie so it's less solved and more shoot first and ask questions later.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (4K disc) 2019 movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.  The movie features an all star cast of Tarantino regulars, including DiCaprio as a fading Hollywood star in the 60s, with Bradd Pitt as DiCaprio's friend and stuntman, navigate life in Hollywood with the Charles Manson cult lurking in the background.  Margot Robbie also stars as Sharon Tate.  I haven't watched this since I saw it I the theater.  I have been eagerly looking forward to watching it again, but forgot just how violent it got towards the end.  I had to look away at some of the more graphic scenes.
