As I played my video game most of the day, and then did actual work-work in the afternoon and evening, all I got through was golf, and some soaps:
golf - Day 3 at The Heritage at Hilton Head, SC. It sucks to be Justin Thomas - he lead after Day 2, and started Day 3 in the lead. But as been his pattern for the last 3 years, he faded throughout the day, falling to third place at one point before crawling back into a tie for second place. Still, I would place Thomas's odds of pulling this out and winning now as pretty low. The guy to beat is Si Woo Kim.
soaps: Both Thur's ep's.
DOOL - Vivian does tell Xander the truth, while Sarah admit what she's done to mom Maggie, and Stephanie hints to mom Kayla that's she keeping a "big secret" that she's roped Alex into keeping as well. Alex blasts Philip, before Vivian reveals to Philip that she tattled on him to Xander! Meanwhile, more nonsense in the search for John, with Marlena and Patch "tricking" Orpheus (well, not really).
GH - Molly gets closer to getting her f*** from a cowboy! as Cody literally takes her on a horse ride to a party. Nothing else important happened this ep.
What did you watch?
I watched:
John Wick (4K disc) 2014 movie starring Keanu Reeves as an unstoppable hitman who had retired from killing following the death of his wife. But after a Russian gangster steals his car and kills his dog, John goes on a vengeance fueled killing spree.
John Wick: Chapter 2 (4K disc) 2017 sequel which picks up where the first one ended. John got all the people responsible for shooting the dog, but the stolen car was a left-over thread he couldn't forget. One of the assassins attacking John Wick let John Wick get hold of a pencil. That man *clearly* wanted to die! Although I feel a little cheated because Wick only killed two men with that pencil, when legend has it, he once killed three. I forgot Laurence Fishburne shows up in this movie to chew the scenery. "Somebody please, get this man a gun!"
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (4K disc) - 2019 sequel which Picks up where part 2 ended. John Wick is now on the run with a $7 million contract on him for what he did in the last movie. This movie also adds a new wrinkle by including an Adjudicator who shows up and starts causing trouble for Wick's friends for helping him in the last movie, giving them "7 days" to get their affairs in order. And Halle Berry storms into the movie as an assassin friend of John who helps him kill people. This time around it's John Wick and his friends vs. The High Table. But it's John Wick, so my money's on him. At one point, John didn't have a pencil handy, so he had to beat a man to death with a book. But he was nice enough to put the book back on the shelf when he was done. Hey there's a ballerina school. I wonder what the back story is on those ballerinas? "What do you need?" "Guns. Lots of guns." This one ends on a bit of a cliffhanger.
John Wick: Chapter 4 (4K disc) 2023 sequel which picks up where the last one ended. After being nursed back to health by Morpheus, I mean Laurence Fishburne, John Wick is out for blood, hunting down the leaders of The High Table. Bill Skarsgård shows up as the face of the High Table and he's serious about finally ending Wick's life. To do this he recruits Wick's old friend, a blind assassin played by Donnie Yen, to finally get the job done. However, not only does Wick have to face off against Yen, he also must do battle with a flight of stairs. If you've seen the movie, you know those stairs weren't messing around! But what was with the ballerinas in this movie? Someone really should make a movie to explain them.
And not only should this movie have received an academy award nomination for best cinematography, it should have won!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkxVhFg81fs&t=102sDoctor Who (Disney+) - "Lux" - The Doctor can't get his new companion home, so he makes a stop in 1950s America where they encounter a 2 dimensional villain. This was a very good one. I liked that the companion was once again telling the Doctor to just get her home instead of looking into every weird thing that he encounters and comparing him to Scooby Doo. You know, I think this episode might have broken the 4th wall. "What's your favorite episode? Blink. Not the one with the goblins? Blink! Not the one where I'm standing on a mine?!? BLINK!!!" And I did notice Ms. Flood at the end to demolish what was left of that 4th wall. :-) The more I think about it, the more I really liked this one.
