The time change through me for a loop.  I knew it was happening but wasn't sure which day it was happening or if I was gaining or losing an hour.  Then I saw the clock on my stove was an hour earlier.  When I was a kid I had manually change all the clocks which helped a bit, but now with almost every clock in the house automatically changing the time by the time I wake up it's like I involuntarily time traveled without knowing it.

golf: Well, I sure got this wrong!! Clearly, I didn't watch to the end of coverage of the Arnold Palmer on Saturday, because apparently Will Zalatoris choked and threw it all away before even the end of Day 3!
    By the time Day 4 rolled around, Zalatoris was well down the leaderboard, with Scottie Scheffler (now sporting a beard and mustache!?!) in the lead. You can guess how this went, and you won't be wrong! - Scheffler went on to dominate Day 4 with his lead getting wider and wider as the day went on. He easily won the Arnold Palmer Invitational - Scheffler is the only golfer (left, as Jon Rahm went "LIV Tour"...) who has managed to be a consistent winner over the past several years - everyone else seems to "peak" and then flame-out.
 soaps: Fri's ep's.
    GH - Jason, having been shot, shows up a Carly's place to shock her with his being still, you know, *alive*. I think they just bandage his gunshot wound before Anna and Jagger show up to inform Carly that Jason is, you know, alive - and they want to search her place for signs of Jason, but Carly refuses them, until Jagger claims to have a warrant. Dante is through surgery. Alexis tells Diane that she wants to quit the paper because of Nina (I wasn't sure if Diane talked Alexis out of quitting). Nina commiserates with Ava about the state of her marriage to Sonny, and Ava claims that she will help Nina get Sonny back, but is Ava planning to double-cross Nina?! (It wasn't clear!)
    DOOL - Wow, Clyde Weston sure is close to his secret "daughter"!!... In a disappointing development, it is revealed that the cute but EVOL! copette isn't Clyde's secret daughter, but is instead just his squeeze! (Um, what?! How would that even happen?! And how would it happen without the cops knowing exactly who she is?!?!) But she doubles-down on EVOL!!1! by taunting Ava Vitali with visions of Tripp dead at the hands of EVOL copette!... Before this, Ava double-crosses Clyde, in a gambit to get Tripp's location from Clyde, but EVOL! copette shows up and foils Ava. However, Steve and John get away from Ava's goon, so I'm assuming they will stop Clyde on Monday... Tripp and Wendy are about to die!! (but we know they won't...). Paulina is also about to die (and she might, if Jackee! is done with this show...).
 And that was pretty much it. In the evening, Pluto TV was running episode #16(!!) of Wheel of Fortune! (with Pat) - From 1983(?)!!!
  What did you watch?

I watched:
Anatomy of a Fall (Amazon Prime) 2023 French drama about a woman (I think American) living in France with her husband and son.  The woman is put on trial for the murder of her husband after he mysteriously falls from an attic window.  Forensics determine he hit his head on a blunt object before he hit the ground and since the only other person present at the time was the wife, the prosecutors put the wife on trial for his murder.  I wasn't sure if this movie was in French or English and the information I could find online was confusing and contradictory at best.   Turns out the movie is in both French and English.  The wife mostly speaks English but everyone else mostly speaks French.  This was my final Oscar movie to watch.  It was nominated for 5 awards including Best Picture, Director, Screenplay, and Actress.  It's an OK drama.
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (Netflix) Short film written and directed by Wes Anderson based on a Roald Dahl story about a rich man (Benedict Cumberbatch) who learns the secrets of a guru (Ben Kingsley) which allows him to cheat at cards.  The movie has an all star cast with the actors playing multiple roles.  This has to be the *most* Wes Anderson movie that ever Wes Andersoned!  I know I probably said that about his last flick, but this isn't even close!  Watching this movie is like having Wes Anderson directly pumped into your veins!  This came to my attention because it was nominated for an Academy Award for best short film.  I had planned on watching all the short film nominees but this was the only one I barely had time to watch.

Barbie (4K disc) 2023 fantasy starring Margot Robbie as the doll come to life and Ryan Gosling as Ken.  I liked the movie when I saw it in the theater but I think I liked it a bit more on second viewing.  The movie holds up extremely well.
The Oscars - For the first time in a long time I was able to watch every movie nominated for best picture, actor, actress, and director.  One annoyance though, in years past one or more local theaters would do Oscar movie marathons showing both the full length films *and* short films, and animated films as well.  This year that seemed to have been way scaled back.  The best picture nominees only had a handful of oddly scheduled showings.  And as far as I know, none of my local theaters did any short or animated film marathons.  And this year in particular, I would have gone.  :-/
The Mayor of Kings Town - I finished out the season.  I was very unimpressed with how things wrapped up.
The Regime (HBO) "The Founding" - Episode 2 of this new drama starring Kate Winslet as the new Chancellor and autocrat of a European country. In this episode a representative from the U.S. president meets with the Chancellor to sure up U.S. relations, but the Chancellor and her henchman (who thinks he can read Winselt's thoughts and she agrees) decide to bully and intimate the visiting dignitary instead.  In a secondary plot the Chancellor's husband is plotting with the country's wealthy elite on how best to manage Winslet and in particular her henchman.
