The Autopsy of Jane Doe (movie) (Netflix, March 15)

A father-son team of small-town coroners performs an autopsy on an
unidentified woman with mysterious injuries and a terrifying secret.
2016 film starring Brian Cox, Emile Hirsch, and Olwen Kelly; 1h 26m.

This is hardly new, and has already been passed around to pretty much
every other streamer I can think of (except D+).

Am I right? This never was in wide release in theaters.

Release date Dec 21, 2016 by IFC Films (US).  Domestic box office:
$10,474.  International box office: $6,159,569

One week, to quality for the Oscars?

I didn't find info on how long it was in theatres but I also didn't put
much effort into it.  *shrug*

With a box office like that, it's absolutely minimal distribution. All
right, so technically, it didn't go directly to streaming.

This website (Screen Rant, don't know how credible) says:

The Autopsy Of Jane Doe was released in a rather complicated manner.
It was first distributed to the public via Video-On-Demand. It later
went on to be released theatrically. Given that most people had already
watched it by the time it hit theaters, it only managed to gross $6
million.

Ah thank you. So I had remembered correctly to begin with, that this
wasn't a theatrical movie.
