 Hey, thanks for asking!
 CARTER season one on Hallmark mystery (formerly Hallmark movies and
mystery)
 A formula we’ve seen before. Jerry O’Connell plays an actor who plays a cop
who comes back to his hometown, and his incredibly hot childhood friend,
who is a real cop And they team up with their other childhood friend
sidekick to fight crime.
 It’s a pleasant watch. O’Connell is too broad, but then he usually is. And
it spends more time on the characters than the cases and the characters
aren’t that interesting. There is, of course, the obligatory top cop who
hates O’Connell and tries to drive him off his consulting position on the
force.
 The real bright spot here is Sydney Tamiia Poitier (Heartsong) And, yes,
she’s his daughter. Not only is she pretty as a picture she’s a good
actress and big enough to take seriously as a cop.  The will they or won’t
they bit grows tiresome rapidly.
 I was waiting for Rebecca Stamos to show up and sure enough there she is,
although not as the character I expected her to be.
 Only 10 episodes to a season.
 The season, one finale indicates they’re changing the format, and not for
the better.
