Well, I'm predisposed to despise "reboots", so, yeah, I think so too...
That's called "Common Sense". Something severaly lacking in Hollyweird* which, along with almost no creative talent, is why they lazily keep making such things.
* Not just Hollyweird either. The world of comic books is another example
that has become a complete mess thanks to stupidly rebooting characters
and "Political Correctness".
