Now if they are limiting their actions to those people who appear to
be planning attacks on others then that is something I would expect
law enforcement to do.

It isn't gobbledygook but poorly written. She is talking about the
difference between actual security and security theater. So they will
be taking actions that are designed to help people feel safe. Like the
national guard showing up a few hours each week in the subways of NY.
It doesn't actually change the safety of the subways but it can help
people feel safer or think about the TSA having everyone take off
their shoes before getting on a plane.

Last month, Hochul and New York City Mayor Eric Adams demanded that social
media platforms monitor speech and shut down "incitements to violence", with
Adams insisting, "These guys are experts. If they don't want to do their job
of policing themselves, I really believe it's time for the federal government
to step in."

How do you decide what is just people using their freedom of
expression versus someone crossing the line to inciting violence?

The calls come as Europe ramps up censorship of alleged hate speech, including
pressuring X owner Elon Musk to censor the posts of online users. Many
European nations now have laws that have made the expression of religious
beliefs to be viewed as banned speech. This week Finnish Member of Parliament
(MP) Päivi Räsänen and a Lutheran bishop were acquitted after four years of
trials and investigations simply for sharing the biblical view on marriage and
sexuality. And in the U.K., an Army veteran will soon be tried for silently
praying for his deceased son outside of an abortion clinic.

Um, perhaps they missed the point. That is Europe, where the laws and
traditions are different from this country. Hell, we've got government
officials calling on God to help save the nation. No way in hell such
censorship as the article mentions could pass here.
