Calling out the military whenever there's an accusation of antisemitism
is an example of overreaction.

They could have just had campus police come out and pull down the
makeshift anti-Jew checkpoints when they started and made clear that
sort of shit would not be tolerated and if they tried it again, they'd
be arrested.
