lawyer.

Danny catches the diabetic killer in action and they let her stand there
and give a prolonged speech about how all diabetics should die and make the
world a better place.

And then he arrests her and he's apparently alone. Not even Baez is with
him to, you know, secure the crime scene, maintain chain of custody of
the evidence, etc. Danny just hooks her up and drags her out, leaving
the hospital room and the poison needle on the floor unattended.

Anthony tells Erin that the crooked lawyer is suing the shopkeepers estate
for beating him up.
 
Anthony and Erin go visit the crooked lawyer in the hospital and the
crooked lawyer doesn’t have any idea that the shopkeeper is the one who
beat him up. They aren’t even trying at this point.
 
Erin figures out some phony baloney charges to put the crooked lawyer
away.

Well, they weren't phony. They had evidence he was submitting false
evidence to the court and lying in his pleadings. That'd not only get
him some time in the pokey, but he'd certainly be disbarred. And the ADA
is a federal law, which means the FBI might have some charges for him,
too.
