      This union official-- Victoria Wojciechowska-- isn't even a Canadidian
   citizen. She's a Polish national.
  

How did you determine that? That isn't in the article. While the name
is almost certainly Polish she could be third or fourth generation
Canadian for all I know.

 An investigation so basic and simple, my 5-year-old niece could do it. I
understand that it's nevertheless beyond your abilities.

I agree that the threat should definitely be subject to legal
consequences for the person uttering them. I wouldn't be adverse to a
deportation either if she really is a Polish citizen.

I was rather appalled at the open threat of violence against the
professor made in a public place - the newspaper - and certainly hope
the police don't let that go by. I'd also like to see the professor get
a protection order (Canadian equivalent of a restraining order) against
the threatener, although I suppose the union has additional goons to
break legs if it wants.
