The [mural] is an expression of an idea, hence speech, while the boat is
just a physical object. Though I likely would went with one of those
digital images that you can have printed out. Since it's easier and
quicker to take the photo and then send the image to a place that can
print it out.

If you want to make the case that your boat is a sculpture, then sure,
it's speech, too.
Hell, not even that. My boat is a statement of pro-boat advocacy...
(Of course, an actual court would tell me to go jump in the lake.)
