An incredibly awful World War II submarine adventure, movie with Frankie

 Most of the reviews give a score of one or two and yet somehow the

 He was still telling them to run after he figured that out.
 Now here’s a question. Why didn’t he tell them to go hide in the damn
tardis? She has a key after all.
 

Maybe he/she/it/they made the mistake of assuming that he/she/it/they had the intelligence to understand that "Run Away!" in that situation _meant_ "Get in the Tardis!"?
