Biden isn't the sort of speaker/politician that is going to generate
big crowds. He's the kind of guy that just goes about doing the job
without asking for the adoration that someone like Trump feeds off.
In my 23 years doing advance work for presidential candidates, I can't think
of one time a rally for a sitting president seeking re-election six months out
was so sparsely attended.
The staff had to block off 80% of the venue with curtained panels just so the
optics on the news coverage wouldn't be him in a big empty room.
Yawn. Election us in November, and venues don't vote.
