I call bull on that comment because state governors routinely steal
ideas from other governors - with the governors of larger states like
CA/NY having a lot more influence than small states like WY/AK (which
isn't really surprising after all)

BC gets influenced by AB and WA all the time though almost never from
AK which is also adjoining but has a far smaller population than WA.

(Though BC and AB have different parties in power with the Rocky
Mountains in between so tend not to influence each other the way
AB/SK/MB do as they're adjacent and on the prairies. BC + WA have
cordial relations and occasionally collaborate mostly on resource
issues but that didn't stop Whatcom Co, WA essentially flooding out
the Abbotsford BC area - both populations in the 100-200k range - two
years ago when Whatcom Co opened the floodgates during a flooding
situation without checking to see who that would hurt - Abbotsford is
a major farming area and it caused an evacation, death of lots of
livestock and an estimated 1.5 billion in damage...)

Another states governor going out to eat doesn't affect other states.
Thanny is dissembling.
Newsom because he (1) can't refute it and (2) he thinks it sounds
trivial so it bolsters his position, but even the "going out to eat"
thing was an example of Newsom breaking the law-- his own law that he
imposed on everyone else in California-- because he thinks rules and
laws don't apply to him.
Effa is real big on the 'no one is above the law' trope when it comes to
Trump, but he slips into a coma when a prominent Democrat thinks and
acts like he's royalty and above the restrictions of mere commoners.
