So I'm checking next Sunday morning's schedule (and the one after it)
looking to see which Flintstone's episodes they're broadcasting
And shudder... instead of three back-to-back showings,
they've dropped the first two in favour of "Meet the Press".
 Why, oh why?
If any of the Wiegels are reading this, slap the programming
wiz who decided this, real hard like.
Your MeTV station must be one of those that pre-empts certain
programming for other stuff sometimes.
They get into the weeds in all of this at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MeTV
Anyway here's what you missed this morning:
"Fred mistakenly thinks Wilma is going to have a baby."
"Fred's rich uncle mistakenly visits Bedrock, expecting to find his namesake."
"MeTV also began to carry remastered widescreen prints of some
programs (such as Leave It to Beaver, I Love Lucy, The
Honeymooners, and The Monkees) and present its program
promotions in the 16:9 format; most other programming to which
Me-TV has only obtained 4:3 prints are presented in an
anamorphic 14:9 format."
Lousy. If you value your time and your TV it would
suit to get the DVDs of what you like, rather than
just see only 70% of the screen with The Monkees and
only 80% of the screen of The Flintstones.
Don't you mind having the top and bottom of the program
being cut off by MeTV?
I guess I'm just not that persnickety when it comes to old sitcoms I've seen countless times before, I'd rather watch one on MeTV than TVLand which shows everything in 4:3.
I wouldn't be surprised if audience research indicates most viewers don't care either.
