I know I post my share of political things but this time I just want to
tell you about the funniest NON-POLITICAL thing I've read in many years.
I am not talking about mildly amusing either: I'm talking about
gut-busting laugh-out-loud hilarious.

I was watching an interview with Rick Wakeman on Rick Beato's YouTube
channel yesterday and it was REALLY good.

I saw some of that the other day. Probably when it got posted and was
all the rage in the algorithm. Good stuff.

It went an hour and a half and
I would have happily watched hours more of it because Wakeman is a true
story-teller. When I read the comments under the video, I discovered
that he'd written a book and knew I had to look for it. A quick search
revealed he'd written TWO books: Grumpy Old Rock Star and other Wondrous
Stories and it's sequel, Further Adventures of a Grumpy Old Rock Star. I
found both on the gray and am already well into the first of the two.

That I have not seen.

This is a guy who can really tell a story!

For those who don't recognize the name, Wakeman has played keyboards on
all kinds of songs as a session musician working with the likes of David
Bowie, Elton John and Cat Stevens - that's him playing the piano on Cat
Steven's Morning Has Broken - and has also been an important element of
bands like The Strawbs, Yes (think Roundabout), and as a solo artist
composing his own music. He's been playing music since about the time
the Beatles and is still active today at age 75.

For a shorter sample, here's his speech when Yes was inducted into the

(He has apparently written three books, the first being an autobiography
of Yes. Now I have to look for that and see if it's as good as the
Grumpy Old Rock Star book....)
LOL. I went to look this interview up and the first thing Youtube
pulled up was Rick Beato saying why David Gilmour and others wouldn't
be on his channel due to Youtube. What made it funny to me was over on
the right hand side was some Youtube shorts including a couple from
David Gilmour being interviewed by Rick Beator.
