No this isn’t a Monte Python skit about the Ministry of Silly Walks. It's

Scruffy long hair, unkempt beards, slovenly appearance, can’t dress the
lines,
no uniformity in dress or cover, out of step, many out of shape - basically
a
gigantic, shambling pile of shit. If they can't even march together in sync
how could they ever coordinate on a battlefield? No unit cohesion
whatsoever.
And speaking English is no longer a requirement to join the Canadian
military,
so that just would just add to the battlefield confusion.
Don’t be too hard on them, though. At least they have tampons in their
washrooms.
Meanwhile, over in China...

I just shared your post with my friend who spent most of his adult life
in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). He has very similar views to both of
us in terms of politics so I'm curious what he's going to say.
While I'm waiting on his response, I'll just make a few comments that
I'm sure he won't disagree with. First, the CAF is bilingual. There are
several English-speaking units and a few French-speaking ones. Even
their business cards are bilingual. I don't very much about how it works
beyond what I've said but I've never heard him say it was any kind of
problem.
Yes, I wasn't referring to the English/French thing which is part of Canadian
culture and tradition and has been worked out long ago. I'm referring to the
DEI policies that now allow anyone from any country to join up even if they
know not a scrap of English (or French).
Third, marching is not fighting. If the CAF marching looks somewhat
ragged - and I agree it does - we've got a fair bit of experience
fighting and I understand we are held in pretty high regard by other
armies. China, on the other hand, hasn't fought anyone since they tried
to invade North Vietnam in 1979 and got their asses handed to them. The
time before that was when they had a short war (or two) with India in
the 60s.
Fourth, I give you one of China's top generals, who is actually a
grandson of Chairman Mao:

If this is what passes for a top general in China, I'd say the world is
in a lot less danger than generally thought.
However, I'm pretty sure no one is worrying about what some corporal's
preferred pronouns are in the People's Liberation Army. Some guy tries that
shit, he'd probably be led out back shown the CCP's preferred bullet calibre.
