This is the latest ad from Jaguar.

Turns out there's a reason for that commercial. Apparently what they
were selling wasn't selling so they are trying to reinvent the
company. The ad is their (strange) way of starting to do so. As part
of this plan they aren't selling any cars now as they work on what
will sell and redesign their entire product line.
It's a strange approach to reinventing the product line but I guess if
they truly weren't selling any cars (or enough to cover their costs)
then stopping production while they redesign and retool makes sense.
I just don't get what they think that ad is going to do for them. It's
going to be forgotten long before they have any new cars to sell.
Apparently Jaguar told their designers to come up with a new car that looks nothing like previous Jaguar cars and nothing like anything else on the road. They came up with the "Jaguar Type 00 EV Concept" ...

Looks pretty much like simply a modified version of the recently-new Nissan Z.
I saw this in one of those Nissan commercials when they visit the Heisman winners home. I thought it looked pretty sharp (much like the old Datsun 240-Z) but I hate cars with black wheels, maybe I'm just too old school.
The new Nissan Z is a good looking car. Much better than the previous three ugly fat-ass models (300ZX, 350Z, and 370Z). You can always change the wheels via third-party / after-market retailers to pretty much any colour you want.
Unfortuantely the Jaguar is heavily modified / more squared, but has the same sort-of shape to it - long bonnet / hood, hatchback-style rear, square front air intake. Maybe more of a hideous off-spring of a Nissan Z and a Tesla Cybertruck. Of course, this Jaguar is just a prototype, and the actual go car that goes on sale (if any) usually ends up looking very different.
