Jaguar's recent rebranding has been controversial to say the least - and largely negative. One of the most perplexing things about it was the lack of cars in the ad so I was intrigued when this video appeared in my YouTube feed.

It is important to stress that the car in the video is a CONCEPT car - a one-off built to showcase the direction a future production model might take - rather than an actual production model. In other words, the production car might be significantly different. Still, it gives *some* insight into what next year's new production model may look like, even if details of performance are presently lacking.
It appears that the rebranding actually "worked" in the sense that it attracted a lot of eyeballs to the brand. Mind you, it would have made more sense to me to do the rebranding when the production version of the new car was available rather than a year in advance. I suppose this is for business reasons: Jaguar is apparently in a dire financial condition and doing the rebranding this way may be the only option they felt they had.
I've omitted the [OT] tag from the subject line because the Jaguar rebranding is, at least partially, something that has happened on TV.
