Not actually a "reboot" (thanks to morons in journalism not understanding the word), but instead a sequel series with some of the original cast ... and no doubt just as inane and non-funny as the original idiotic show was.
Scrubs Reboot in the Works at ABC From Original Creator
-------------------------------------------------------
More than a decade since wrapping up its nine-season run,
it has been revealed that ABC has started developing a
Scrubs reboot of the hit medical comedy series, which
starred Zach Braff as J.D. Dorian. The original sitcom
ran on air from 2001-2008 on NBC, and 2009-2010 on ABC.
Who is involved in the Scrubs reboot?
ABC's Scrubs reboot is being developed by the original
series creator Bill Lawrence and 20th Television. However,
should the project score an official order from the
network, Lawrence will reportedly not take on the role of
the showrunner. At the moment, further details about its
plot and potential cast are still being kept under wraps.
"A new group of medical students arrives to learn the
ropes at Sacred Heart Hospital, where J.D., Turk, Kelso,
and acerbic Dr. Cox are the instructors. J.D. continues to
romance Elliot as he imparts wisdom to a new class, which
includes Lucy, Drew, Cole and Maya," reads the show's
official logline.
The original series was created and executive produced by
Lawrence, who, after Scrubs was canceled, went on to
produce acclaimed Apple TV+ shows such as Ted Lasso and
Shrinking. Besides Braff, the series also starred Donald
Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, Ken Jenkins, John C.
McGinley, Neil Flynn, Dave Franco, and more. Since its
debut, the comedy show has garnered positive response from
viewers and critics, with 17 Emmy Awards nominations
throughout its nine-season run. It currently holds a
Tomatometer score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.
