Trudeau is exactly the same. He is frequently out of the country - much more often than Biden - and inevitably gives the host country hundreds of millions of dollars at the various conferences/meetings he attends. It's mostly virtue signalling but there is also some lobbying for prestigious UN appointments as well. (As you probably know, the UN Security Council has 5 permanent members and 10 temporary members which are chosen for 6 month terms. Canadian diplomats cherish our membership on the Security Council when they happen and often throw money around to increase the odds of being chosen for those temporary slots.)
The only good thing to say about this is that the less time Trudeau is in this country, the less time he has to mess it up further although it comes at the price of giving away our money. Mind you, his minions have proven themselves highly skilled at stupid nonsense and they seem to manage to function to their normal levels of incompetence in his absence.
One of the great negatives about parliamentary democracies like ours is that prime ministers have no term limits and Trudeau could conceivably be re-elected until he finally dies. Given that he's only in his 50s and lifespans keep getting longer, you can just imagine the dread.
Luckily, he's so hated that I don't see him winning the next election. I suppose he might stay on as a leader of an opposition party in hopes of defeating the Conservatives but even his own party doesn't much like him any more so that doesn't seem likely.
