Body Snatchers (blu-ray) 1993 sci-fi movie based on the 1954 novel by
Jack Finney about alien pods that come to Earth and take over by copying
people.  This version moves the action to an army base which means there
are plenty of weapons and people trained to use them to fight back. This
is a very underrated movie with a great cast that includes Meg Tilly, R.
Lee Ermey, and Forest Whitaker.

One I both watched and read the original book many years ago. The book
is sitting in a pile with other books about 15 feet from me.
