He did not pardon the judge. He commuted the sentence which means the
judge is still held guilty of the crime.
That's the same as a pardon. The president cannot change a verdict.
There's likely some reason
why the sentence was commuted that isn't mentioned above and certainly
isn't one of those mentioned below. My guess would be the sentence was
almost up.
Biden did a mass commutation of sentences that were being served in home
confinement since COVID. As it was 1500 prisoners, I don't see how Biden
gave any consideration to the facts and circumstances of individual
cases.
That crimes sounds incredibly evil.
Did the judge steer some of his ill-gotten gains to Biden at some point?
Did the judge do Biden some other favour at some point?
I wonder if we'll ever know....
