Christ that's one massively STOOPID reporter. Grand theft auto is a
property crime. Carjacking is a violent crime involving robbery, and
sometimes attempted murder or murder. That makes it a crime against a
person. A person has a common law right to self defense.
If a mother being carjacked has just strapped her baby in the back seat,
then it's kidnapping.
