"Linear" = broadcast (or cable) TV. As opposed to "streaming".
"Linear" is meaningless industry jargon. D.T. is asking you not to use
the term at all.
No, I wasn't. Because I didn't know what it meant. Personally I
suspect a better division would be between interval release (1 episode a
week like traditional TV) and batch release (all episodes released at
once for immediate binging).
You're saying measure viewership based on how people actually obtain
episodes and compare within categories? That makes a great deal of
sense.
