Absolutely love it that he's leaving. He's been a complete disaster.
Don't count your chickens until they're hatched. He is such a boundless narcissist that I would not put it past him to try to offer some half-assed apology, promise to do better, and then stay in the leadership to run in the next election.
In fact, I rather hope he tries that. It will make things that much sweeter when he and his entire party - and his friends in the NDP - are utterly crushed at the next election.
Mind you, the Liberals will get creamed in any case. There is apparently fresh polling where Canadians were asked who they would vote for if various other Liberals were leader and the results were dismal. The very best the Liberals could hope for would be 21% if Freeland were the new leader; Joly would give them 16% and Mark Carney would give them 14%. That is no kind of winning formula.
