[OT] Bizarre way to dispose of Christmas trees

I just saw this article in my news feed. A woman in Quebec discovered that goats LOVE to eat Christmas trees (and similar roughage) so now she collects used Christmas trees and delivers them to a nearby goat farm. The farmers are happy to get free goat food, the goats are delighted to get something they consider a treat, and the woman who gathers the trees is pleased to be participating in a novel way of recycling dead trees.

Although the goats don't eat the entire tree - the trunks seem to be too much for them to handle - they take care of the rest. I've never heard of an animal that could eat tree branches or the needles from conifers before so I found this very surprising.
Have any of you ever heard of anything like this before?
