 I've been worrying about BTR (and Midnight) too.

I know he's basically a dog lover who just acquired Midnight inadvertently but I'm not sure if he has dogs right now so I said "pets" just to cover that possibility ;-)

checked some maps to see how far away his house is from
the worst of the fires. :/
 I agree about the spotty cell service plus the power
outages. Plus at his location right up against the
ocean, plus the road construction problems he's mentioned,
his escape routes are limited.
 

That's partly why I was worried. LA Traffic is dreadful at the best of times but is apparently especially brutal during this crisis. James Woods said it took nearly 3 hours to go a distance he usually covered in 25 minutes.

Let's hope he's hunkered down somewhere safe.
 Nyssa, who is keeping hopeful thoughts that the winds
will decrease enough for the fire crews to get these
fires under control ASAP
