I guess I must be a zombie then since I drank a 750ml bottle of wine
on New Year's Eve (and subsequently paid for it but it's once a year).
And it was a variety that has a rather higher alcohol content than
usual to - I'm a big guy but was floating in my chair by the time I
went to bed. (Haven't had a drop since)
Like anything else, alcohol can be good in some wasy and bad in others, when used sensibly. That's why the "experts" change their minds every other week after doing yet another idiotically flawed study.
Also like anything else, alcohol taken in excessive amounts will be bad for you.
