I've just learned that there's a new sitcom about Joe Biden - in Russia.
The title translates as "Goodbye". My boy Roman gives us all the gory details, including clips and a detailed breakdown of characters and plot, in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgJYx-wvOoM [51 minutes]
Apparently, Joe Biden comes to Russia incognito to determine why sanctions aren't working and the Secret Service sends two of its people to secretly keep an eye on him and then sneak him back to America but inadvertently grab Biden's Russian doppelganger, thinking it is Biden. (In this series, Biden's doppelganger conveniently speaks great English and Biden himself speaks fluent Russian, which he learned during the Cold War.)
Roman reviews the series along the way and, in a nutshell, says it's really terrible and is very "Z", meaning pro-Putin and in favour of the war with Ukraine.
Still, one man's horrible may be your delightful so I thought I'd post here just in case you want to track it down and give it a look. The first season of this sitcom apparently contains 8 episodes.
For what it's worth, the video is at least somewhat interesting just for the glimpse at how Russian TV programming works. He identifies Russian shows that are basically knockoffs of American shows like Married With Children or Friends.
