Poser was a 3-D software package that you could do stuff like this in that
was usually used by people who had no business using it and gave awful
results, although not nearly as awful as this was.
I never heard of Poser before. Was it like Toaster?
Poser was originally designed in 1995 for creating static 3D images of people as a digitial equivalent of the old posable wooden mannequins. Version 2 added animation options. More options were added as new versions were released.
It's always been rather awful with bad looking, unrealistic results, but that's why it's relatively cheap to buy.
You can still buy Poser, now verison 13, which they say is used by over 500,000 digital artists.
