What did you watch?
Sleepless in Seattle (4K disc) 1993 romantic comedy
starring Tom Hanks as a recent widow whose young son
decides to pimp him out on a call-in
radio show. Meg Ryan plays a stalker who lives across
the country and in spite of the fact she's already
engaged to Bill Pullman she hears
Hanks and his kid on the show and starts to stalk Hanks.
Ryan goes so far as to hire a private investigator to spy
on him and fly cross
country to see him. How is any of this OK?!? It doesn't
help matters that Hank's kid decides he wants Ryan to be
his new mother, so the kid
eggs her on. This was my first time watching this movie.
I guess it
was OK. But fair warning, Ryan's character is not named
Sally, and at no point did anyone say, "I'll have what
she's having" or "You've Got Mail."
I had to go sit through this in the theater for work.
A
client specified wanting an animated map just like the one
in the movie. The problem is the map in the movie is of
the United States so everything is in the middle. The map
I had to do was LA to Hong Kong and so there was nothing
in the map, but Pacific Ocean. It was much less
interesting.
And their CGI model of the Empire State building was
completely wrong.
