What law forces a declaration of gender at birth?

as always. But it's rare -- not entirely uncommon -- for doctors to get
it wrong with ambiguous genitalia at birth. Shortly after birth, it can
be too early to see female reproductive organs with an ultrasound.

We've also heard of doctors turning a boy into a girl shortly after
birth to appease parents unwilling to wait for nature to take its course.

The sex was hidden until House revealed it to a teenage patient and was
the basis for one of the diseases, in an episode of House M.D. The parents
knew but chose not to reveal that they had the doctor make a surgical
"correction".

None of this discussion has a damn thing to do with Lia Thomson, who was
male and never anything but male who conned his way into competing
against women and, because he was an exhibitionist if not a flasher and
a pervert, personally committed harm against his "fellow" female
teammates.
