Everything We Know About Season 3 of EUPHORIA So Far [HBO] (Feb. 20)
The troon in the cast is all over the news for being upset that Trump
made her have an M under 'Sex' on her passport. To be fair Hunter
Shafer is one of the very few male troons that 100% looks, acts, and
seems female. Until someone pointed out that 'she' is a dude, I never
would have known. If you're a troon in that rarefied category-- Blaire
White and Nicole Maines (who played Dreamer on SUPERGIRL) are two other
of these rare unicorns-- I can understand why you might be upset at
having to put "male" on your ID. For all the others, it shouldn't be
an issue because you're not fooling anyone.
To me it seemed easy enough. If you've got something dangling between
your legs then you are still a male, regardless of what you intend for
the future.
What about the trans woman athlete? Should she have all that extra
muscle mass surgically removed to compete as a woman?
Isn't she going to lose that extra muscle mass over time if she's no
longer producing her own male based testosterone?
If she keeps up with training? I think she'll retain a major competitive
advantage. She'll lose some, not all.
It'll always be cheating.
