Well, it is the shortest of the Bond films so far.  Every other film has
been ~2hr 10min while this was about 1hr 40min IIRC.

I don't hate the movie the way others do.  But one thing I learned
recently was the movie was made during a writer's strike.  That
obviously doesn't make the movie any better, but it may help explain why
certain obvious problems may not have been fixed.

Right before the last writer's strike someone posted a list of all the
movies and show that came out during the one before and suddenly a lot
started to click.  "Quantum of Solace" was on that list.

That doesn't explain the frenetic editing. Could I also point out that
the script itself ripped off one of Jackie Chan's lousier movies, The
Tuxedo, a James Bond spoof. Therefore, that script could not be saved.

Howeverk the editing is what absolutely sucks all entertainment value
out of the movie that the script is a lesser problem.
