Some of the comments are fun. A few of them propose Buffy Ste. Marie to
fill the post; she's only recently admitted that she was born in the US
after decades of being honoured as a Canadian aboriginal performer; she
was "adopted" by a Cree tribe in Saskatchewan as an adult and used that
to obtain various awards and honours in this country.
How is that not a pr0n star name?
Are you familiar with her? Not in the biblical sense, but the entertainment sense ;-) She's a singer/songwriter dating back to the folkie era. I have no idea how well known she is in the US although she shouldn't be completely unknown to you given that some of her songs have been successful, although most of them became hits for other people doing them as covers. I'm personally not a fan of her vocal style.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffy_Sainte-MarieDespite claiming for decades that she was a Cree from Saskatchewan, she was actually born in Massachusetts to an Italian father and a mother of English heritage. Her surname at birth was Santamaria but due to anti-Italian sentiment at the time, the family changed it to the French-sounding Sainte-Marie.
