After claiming on his podcast that 'no one in my office has ever used the term

repeatedly.
If he'll lie directly to you on camera...

What kind of idiot is Newsom? Did he really imagine that no one would find those clips and use them against him? Or does he think hypocrisy is such a standard behaviour by a politician that no one will be bothered by it when it is brought to their attention?
Mind you, Mark Carney has stolen some key pieces of Pierre Poilievre's platform and the media is failing to notice that Mark Carney's platform had Poilievre's fingerprints all over them.
I remember reading an article early in 2014 looking ahead at the 2016 Republican primary where the consensus of several pundits was that Jeb Bush was going to be the 2016 nominee and there were really no other credible contenders. As it turned out though, there were 16 contestants for the nomination and the winner was Trump. I don't remember if Jeb even stayed in it until the end.
I'm hoping that the current thinking that Newsom is the Democratic front-runner is proven just as wrong as predictions of Jeb Bush being the 2016 Republican nominee for President. Or maybe I'm not. If Newsom is such a bald-faced liar, maybe it's better that he be the nominee just so that the Republicans crush him on Election Day 2028 rather than face a more credible candidate.
