What kind of idiot is Newsom? Did he really imagine that no one would
find those clips and use them against him? Or does he think hypocrisy is
such a standard behaviour by a politician that no one will be bothered
by it when it is brought to their attention?

I think he's so used to being protected by the press in California that he
thinks he can say stuff like that and they'll just go along with it.
